ORIGINAL CONCEPT
INITIAL IDEAS
I was asked to create a creature concept using the prompt "An Uninvited Guest".
There were a few considerations I had to make when ironing out the details of this character.
Is he intelligent or more animalistic? Does he travel on all fours, only on his hind legs, or on a combination of both? Are there more of him or is he the only one of his kind? Is he kind, malevolent, or misunderstood?
FINAL RESULT
A local legend, the Star Devil is a mysterious creature that lurks around the cradles and carriages of small children when no one else is around. The only trace of his visits are the felt stars he leaves behind with the children.
Not much is known about his existence, but children seem to calm down in the presence of his felt stars.
